My most popular poetry book is also my first. This is a collection of 100 poems covering the first 100 days of Zen meditation practice in the confines of a countryside Buddhist temple. These are not poems of enlightenment and peace or worldly observations. These are poems of struggle and discomfort. These are not poems of book learning and priestly discussions, but of simple observations sitting in meditation, eating in silence and cleaning the hallways. These are poems of celebration of a new world that any Buddhist practitioner will enjoy reading. Also, throughout the book are photos of Buddhist and Shinto temples in Japan.
Adi Da Samraj is an Eastern based guru and teacher unparalleled who was a prolific intellect, writer, artist, teacher, along with being the promised God-Man and the divine Ruchira (Bright) Avatar. These poems where started when I was a devotee. They look at the seeker, society and the guru from many points of view, including getting into the guru's head. They were inspired by Adi Da Samraj, but go beyond him to the bigger picture of spirituality. Includes a preface written by Dr. Lee Ann B. Marino, a Christian minister who has studied cults and non-Christian paths. This book was originally published in 2013. I was informed a copy was sent by a devotee to Julian Assange while he was in prison as a way to lift his spirits.
In 2020 a Revised Edition was created for kindle and print that features a new introduction, new formatting of all the poems, and extensive revisions of the poems, essentially making for two different books.

All the poems were beautifully read on youtube by devotee Peter Owens in England. I combined them all into one video and shared on my youtube channel. Click below to watch that episode.

A poetic tribute to the life of Chilean-born swami and yoga teacher Swami Ramakrishnananda of New York, also known as Prabhuji, along with poems recognizing his devotees and the ancient teaching of Hindusim. The book concludes with a series of poems written over 21 nights that bring the teachings into ones daily life. All based on a poetic form developed by John Cage.

Inspired by the Beat Generation throughout school the best tribute seemed to include those legendary characters in my writing. These poems were written 1995-2001 about the Beats, inspired by the Beats, responding to the Beats and about those who inspired them including Walt Whitman and an extensive poetic tribute to Jim Morrison's Miami incident with the Doors
My final poetry collection brings together previously unpublished poems spanning over two decades of writing. They touch on many aspects of his life, along with demonstrating his growth as a writer via exploring different styles and influences. In this book are poems of relationships, family, history, spirituality, loneliness, with influence from such directions as Jim Morrison, Jack Kerouac, jazz music, work as a historian, and Sri Chinmoy.
I was one of 10 poets invited to play a writing game. Through a series of turns over many months we each created a poem, with only the number of syllables as the restriction. Edited and published by Ryan Welch, a book publisher and poet in Washington State. This was done in cooperation with the Alternative Library of Bellingham, Washington. Also features poetry by organizer Ryan Welch, plus Elli Anderson, Cullen Beckhurn, Kristy Gill, Eric Kosarot, Taylor Nichols, Rebecca Spithill, Rhys Webb, Sedona Webb.
